COMMON PRICING QUESTIONS

Postal Mail Cost Estimator FAQs

How much does Certified Mail cost with CaseMail?

Certified Mail cost depends on your document, printing choices, mailing features, and current CaseMail pricing. Enter your mailing details in the estimator to compare the Certified Mail estimate with First Class Letter, Priority Mail, and Priority Mail Express.

How is my CaseMail mailing estimate calculated?

Your estimate is based on the mailing details you enter, including page count, printing choices, mailing features, and service. CaseMail uses current pricing to calculate estimated Pay-As-You-Go and Subscriber costs.

Why do I see Pay-As-You-Go and Subscriber prices?

Seeing both prices lets you compare what a mailing would cost at Pay-As-You-Go rates versus Subscriber rates. Subscriber pricing may reduce the cost of some mailings, so the estimator shows both current estimates together.

Why does a mailing option say “Exceeds page limit”?

Postal services have different document-size limits. When the selected page count is above a service's limit, that service remains visible for comparison but no price is shown. The estimator displays the applicable maximum for the selected single- or double-sided print option.

Does page count affect which postage types I can use?

Yes. Maximum page counts vary by service and whether your documents are printed single- or double-sided. If your mailing exceeds the limit for a service, the estimator shows the page-limit message and the services that can accommodate your mailing.

Do color and double-sided printing affect the estimate?

Yes. Your printing selections can affect the estimated mailing cost. Color printing may cost more than black-and-white printing, while double-sided printing can reduce the number of physical sheets in your mailing and may affect which USPS services are available for larger documents.

Can I include a return envelope?

Yes. A return envelope can include up to 10 pages. If the return-envelope document exceeds 10 pages, reduce the page count or remove the return envelope before requesting an estimate.
